The Chaden Company, L.L.C. dba Cold Seat™ is a Limited Liability Company, founded and started by Shari L. Griffin, in 2004.  Shari suggests that her maternal instincts was  the foundation used, much like other desperate mothers in warm/hot climate areas, franticly searching for a solution to keep their precious cargo cool, safe and comfortable. 

Shari thought of the idea to create a product after using frozen ice packs and frozen water bottles to keep in children’s car seats to prevent burns and other injuries associated with the heat. 

Seeing how effective her creation would be, she produced a prototype, had the product patented and trademarked. 

Initially, it was overwhelming being flooded with interviews from the media, but once the accolades, endorsements and awards began to come in, reality set in as well.  It was then that she realized she was really on to something special and couldn’t be more excited to see the passion that modern parents have in ensuring that they protect their child by keeping them safe, cool and comfortable during the warm/hot months.   

Her insatiable appetite for creating solutions to problems has led to other products that will be introduced to the marketplace soon.
